The groundbreaking ceremony for the Nila Bagh Residential Project took place, April 7, with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund. Recognizing the commencement of the project as a significant milestone in the country's reconstruction efforts, Mullah Baradar Akhund emphasized the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's commitment to advancing construction projects alongside other critical infrastructural initiatives. He cited ongoing endeavors such as the second phase of the New Kabul project as indicative of the government's dedication to national development. In his address, the Deputy Prime Minister underscored the favorable investment climate in the country and highlighted the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's facilitation of domestic and foreign investments across various sectors, including construction, industry, agriculture, electricity, and trade. Expressing gratitude to the People's Republic of China for their support in initiating the practical work on the Nila Bagh Residential Project, Mullah Baradar Akhund urged for continued collaboration between the two nations, particularly in areas of regional connectivity. He called upon the Chinese government and investors to seize the opportunities available for investment in Afghanistan, emphasizing the potential for further enhancing economic and trade relations between Kabul and Beijing. Additionally, Mullah Baradar Akhund urged the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing and Kabul Municipality to swiftly address construction-related challenges in the capital, Kabul, and facilitate the commencement of construction activities. This, he emphasized, would not only create employment opportunities for the citizens but also contribute to the development of the infrastructure sector. The Nila Bagh Residential Project, with an estimated cost of approximately 71 million dollars, is being undertaken with the assistance of China. The project aims to construct 1400 residential houses across 56 blocks and is slated for completion within three years under the supervision of the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing.
