Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, spoke at the ceremony organized in Badam Bagh to launch the national planting campaign. Mullah Baradar Akhund expressed his appreciation for such programs aimed at planting trees in Afghanistan. This is an agricultural country with an abundance of water and a good natural environment, said Honorable Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund. Nonetheless, the use of hazardous bombs and chemical weapons has had a negative impact on our country's air and natural environment. Planting and maintaining trees is the only way to counteract the impacts of this toxic environment and lethal poisons. Making our country green and environmentally friendly is not just the government's job, but everyone's. During the ceremony, Honorable Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund called on all citizens, particularly Kabul residents, to plant and take care of at least one sapling in their houses. Honorable Mullah Sahib said that if the citizens do so, all the hills in Kabul will turn green in the next few years.
